CETNS is one of three multi-denominational schools in Galway, and was established in 2005 by parents who believe in the importance of educating children of all backgrounds together. It is one of over 56 Educate Together schools in the State sharing the guiding principle that children should “learn together to live together”.
CETNS promotes a philosophy of education in which no child is considered an outsider, and every child’s social, religious and ethnical background is cherished equally and celebrated. Positive steps are taken to counter stereotyping on the grounds of gender, class or ethnic background. CETNS is democratically run with parents playing a major role at all levels in partnership with professional teachers.
